Star Trader

Star Trader is a space trading game where the player must trade in order to pay off debt before the deadline. The player must buy low and sell high on goods and run between planets to pay off the debt before the deadline. The player can do delivery missions to make money, but the player may face random events in which they can lose goods.
This game was made in Godot for game design class in a four-person group. The development time was 1 month. My role was to implement mission system in GDScript, create sound effects with my voice, compose looping soundtrack in LMMS, generate planet art sprites with Deep-Fold’s Pixel Planet Generator, and polish the final version.
Other team members Collin Hand, Joshua Cotton, and Chris Clements helped to contribute creating this game. Collin added random events when the player’s ship goes through certain areas and implemented trading system. Joshua created sprites for the player’s ship and the ship upgrades. Chris implemented how the player’s ship would fly between planet to planet.
